We were here for the first time and probably for the last time. the Friedrich-Franz (the main restaurant probably does not have too wrong a michaelstern. but how then the second restaurant can fall off with exceptionally juicy excursions is a puzzle to me. Here frozen food is scraped at peak prices and this does not invite to return. the service must also learn a lot. only the prices are ambitious and beautiful is the view of the East Sea. the menu is very small. it consists of salads, burger and sandwiches with artistic names and high praises and only 2-3 regular haup dishes (with equally high praises). the prices were not the problem when the expected quality was chosen in a house belonging to the first republic. service is friendly but not well trained. they can't remember who ordered something. the white wine glasses are tilted as completely as possible that they do not have to return to taste as soon as possible. when the end comes the bill, then the coffee. we had one (my companion had not yet much starvedtar. that was tasty and very clever from the fresh and also visually made. the ingredients on the dish for themselves around the tartaric acid were dressed tastefully. Unfortunately, the main courts were a few classes worse. a white carving (for eur 31 from the calf already had the calf stage behind it and was fried in the pan, but had to wait for the pirat that had to be soaked and therefore was quite brown. the soultang (eur 54! was frozen and had no doubt about getting drunk in time to fit with a passable (which was unfortunately not that, see the prepared white carving. the suspicious red coloration on the bone showed the origin of this completely overpriced vision, from which I hoped it was fresh in view of the sea and near the stars (satisfied French also. that was obviously naiw of me. we drank a bottle of pinot Blanc/Grauburgunder cuvee from martin black from dresden, which was as expected top class, but for which the healing was not able to do something in the opposite to martin black. chef ronny shewert greeted us at letting the terrace friendly, whether he knows what is served in his second restaurant? really pity and incomprehensible is that the cook that prepared was quite sure from the optics in the location to do something good because that looked good. the ingredients were, however, committee and the chaos at home then their rest. the environment the terrace is located just about 100 m from the eastern sea and close to a sea bridge very nice. cleanliness the toilets were clean and well maintained. the weeglasses less (suckle pen and the seat cushions must be from time to time also because of the leaves of möwen, which is unavoidable at the sea, but what you do not here, so that the gasse can exchange them.
The entrance says Leading Hotels of the World ; the sign should be removed! On the day of arrival, I tried to contact the restaurant and reception because we couldn 't keep our table reservation due to traffic. Unfortunately, I was completely unsuccessful, so calling is pointless. The reception actually had a grand hotel feel to it. We had a deluxe suite with a sea view, so we expected the windows to be cleaned so you could see the Baltic Sea. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired (spit on the mirror? . In a deluxe suite, we would also have expected shower gel and shampoo by the bathtub and in the shower... When we arrived at the restaurant, we were ignored by all the service staff. We were apparently supposed to wait outside, but instead followed other guests who were greeted very warmly. The food falls short of expectations. When the wine recommendation ends with if that means anything to you, you don 't feel welcomed, but rather reprimanded. The next morning, we were woken up by a call from the spa, informing us that all treatments had been canceled. There was no word of apology; rather, their own regret was more prominent. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. When we asked at reception if a Porsche was available for us to borrow, we were told by the receptionist that it would cost something. Remember, we had booked a deluxe suite… so the €399 shouldn 't be a hindrance. At the spa, we wanted to clarify which treatments were canceled, and they explained all of them to us, including those for the following day. So we were surprised when they asked us at lunchtime why we hadn 't shown up for our manicure. I then went for my second appointment and was treated by the first-year apprentice. When I complained, I learned that she shouldn 't have been treating me alone. Since I wasn 't wearing a watch for the treatment, I didn 't immediately realize that it only took 30 minutes. I was still charged for the full 60 minutes. A massage was simply postponed for an hour without informing us. In the evening we went back to the Kurhaus Restaurant, and the food was absolutely mediocre. For dessert, we had a cheese platter. When we asked what kind of cheese we were having, the sommelier said he didn 't know much about cheese; he was in charge of the wine, but he was happy to ask. He had served us the cheese platter, though. He came back with the names but didn 't give us any advice on which cheese to start with. Since you can get cheese at any Edeka cheese counter, we weren 't overwhelmed. When I left, I described some of my negative experiences to reception, and they said I would hear from the hotel. I waited a week, and what I got was a newsletter. I can get a €100 voucher if I review the hotel . I 'd already done that, and no one cared. We 've felt much more welcome in hotels with fewer stars because we were made to feel like we, as guests, were the focus of everyone 's efforts. We only had that feeling here from the doorman. Conclusion: Absolutely overpriced for an aging hotel and poor service!
Everything is pretty dated. Dirty carpet, pathetic bathrobes, slippers only on request. Apart from that, everything here comes across as very heteronormative... with the furnishings in the rooms, where we found half-empty cosmetics. Breakfast was a complete disappointment. One evening we were practically kicked out of the sauna. Why don't they go to this area 10 minutes beforehand to prepare the guests for the sauna closing? But then in this shameless, unbelievable, unfriendly manner. We had to leave the sauna immediately and when we asked if we would like to take a shower, the young man with the (undercut with a braid) rolled his eyes!... and left without saying a word. That was the decisive point for me to say: this was definitely the last time I stay here. I would also like to say a few words about breakfast... because it was almost an impertinence. The saving grace was the menu. In many 4 or 3 star hotels you get a better breakfast than here. The service was abysmal, except for one older gentleman. You can order drinks at the swimming pool...which makes me seriously wonder how rude people can be for a mid-range gin and a shot of tonic water from the brand with the Schwep...to justify that price. Unbelievable. The surrounding area is quite nice, and a few years ago it might have been chic, but those days are long gone. So where do these 5 stars come from?
Die Küchenparty im letzten Jahr war ausgezeichnet!!!!
