Visited while in the town for the football. The plzen was nicer than the hoppy lager. Also had a October beer and porter as well as cans. Friendly staff. 5 euro a pint so not cheap though

Small pub, very informal, seems popular with local people. The bartender (owner? brews his own beers, right in pub (micro- or rather nanobrewery . We tried the dry-hopped lager, which was very refreshing and aromatic, served perfectly chilled. The bartender told me he used mosaic hop for the dry-hopping. We also tasted the session IPA, which had an intense aftertaste (as a good IPA should have . Amazing place for beer lovers!

A small craft beer pub that brews it's own beers on site. We were in Guimaraes for 3 nights and had a drink here each evening. The beers we sampled were more of an IPA style rather than lager, with great fresh hoppy flavours. Far better than the usual Portuguese style beers and better than most of the bottled craft beers we tried. The pub opens at 7 p.m. every day. There is practically no signage but it is well worth seeking out. The owner is a great friendly guy who is clearly passionate about his beer. Food is not served but it can be ordered for delivery from a nearby restaurant. We did not try it but it looked good. Well worth trying.

If you want to taste an authentic beer, made in Guimaraes, that's the only place you can go. The best brewery in Portugal's North.
